Project Power Adult 2024 American Diabetes Association®

Join Project Power Today!

Project Power for Adults encourages behavior changes, improved knowledge, and confidence in participants so they can take steps to lower their risk for type 2 diabetes. Through weekly interactive lessons, small support groups, goal setting, and personalized health coaching, Project Power provides critical resources and tools to assess risk and encourages lifestyle changes to help individuals reach their personal health goals.

Diabetes can impact anyone. However, factors like family history and lifestyle can increase your risk for type 2 diabetes. Understanding your risk is critical, especially for individuals in communities with higher rates of diabetes or at higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Project Power is a no-cost program for adults 18+ that raises awareness about type 2 diabetes, promotes healthy lifestyle changes, and offers education for risk reduction and diabetes management.

At Health Hustle: Game Night & Preventive Health Mixer, our mission is to promote awareness and provide education on topics such as Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), including HIV/AIDS, in collaboration with DMV community-based organizations. Learn about STI and HIV treatment, prevention, free and low-cost healthcare options, and tips on how to talk with your partner about sexual health. The event was a remarkable journey of unity, growth, and self-discovery, delving into the intersection of success, sisterhood, and mental well-being.

Mission: Sisters in Success aimed to create an empowering space for black women in leadership, addressing unique challenges and fostering a community that understands, supports, and uplifts.
