Health Hustle: A Night of Games and Preventive Health

The Health Hustle: Game Night & Preventive Health Mixer, hosted by Nia Smart, President & Founder of the SPHC Foundation, was a success, fueled by the collaboration of various organizations and the generous support of our sponsors. Held in observance of STI Awareness Month, this event aimed to raise awareness about Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) through engaging discussions, fun games, and insightful sessions.

We were honored to feature esteemed panelists from the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC), Children's National Hospital, Us Helping Us, and NovaSalud. They shared invaluable insights on sexual health education and effective communication strategies for discussing these important topics with partners. Attendees were actively engaged, participating in Q&A sessions that fostered enriching exchanges of knowledge.

A special thank you goes to Us Helping Us, our Community Impact Sponsor, and to the generous donations from our SPHC Foundation family and friends. Their support made this event possible, allowing over 20 participants to enjoy an intimate and enlightening experience at no cost.

In addition to the informative sessions, attendees had access to free onsite testing provided by Us Helping Us, highlighting our commitment to promoting preventive health practices. The evening was further enhanced by exciting prizes sponsored by SPIN DC, Us Helping Us, and the SPHC Foundation.

Overall, the Health Hustle successfully fulfilled its mission of raising awareness, providing education, and facilitating meaningful discussions on preventive health. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this event's success.

Thank you for being a part of our journey toward better health education and community empowerment!
